Rabbit in a box

I got off on doing a couple box assemblages for this latest show. I got a big kick out of this one.
the rabbit has his carrots ready!

Oil can baby

I never know what to name my assemblages. So it is all up to the viewer to say what it means....although I may have my own opinions. This piece got a lot of comments at the show.

Decorated music box...inside

Here is the inside of the music box. You can see the dancer and the box does play a tune.
There are tow female witnesses to her dancing and gold bottles are the treasure in the box.

Decorated music box front

Decorated music box

I had this and some of the other things shown on this site at a local art show the other night.
People seemed to like this decorated music box All the decorations were done by me by hand.
I will show different views of it here. This is the top.

small decorated bottle view 2

Here is another view of the small decorated bottle. There ae 4 sides in total.

Small decorated bottle

Cat Dancing

Here is the smaller wooden cat and a cat dancing with it.

Cat and Fish

I found two wooden decorated cats in two sizes at a yard sale and thought that they would make a nice pair of assemblages.

Hubcap baby

While looking around at yard sales I found a very unusual hubcap and immediately thought about adding a doll to it. At another yard sale I found a small decorated mirror which happened to fit over the center of the hub cap. The hardware store yielded the metal stips at the bottm. I had this piece in a local art show and got a lot of comments on it. People seemed to be intrigued with it!

I have not posted in a long time as I could not get my camera to download. A couple people looked at it and no one could figer out why it would not work. I was being streesed out, thinking I would have to buy a new camera. then someone suggested that it was the connector that goes from the camera to the computer. WOW! That was the answer! I am so happy it is now working and I can now post my new art!
